In honor of National Philanthropy Day, The Alabama Association of Fundraising Professionals has named its 2022 Outstanding Professional Award. Congratulations, Jeris Gaston, CFP®, CRPC®, for the well-deserved honor. We thank The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham for recognizing her strengths and nominating Jeris.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals “empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professionals’ education, networking, research, and advocacy.” At a luncheon on November 10th, Jeris received her award alongside six other honorees bestowed with similar accolades for their philanthropic endeavors. The impressive group of individuals serves as an exceptional example of how philanthropy changes the face of Alabama and can impact our communities.

Outside of her professional work, Jeris is Chair of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham’s Professional Advisor Committee and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Birmingham. She has been honored to participate in several Leadership Classes across Alabama, including Leadership Shelby County, Leadership AUB, and most recently, the Alabama Leadership Initiative.
